As a native New Yorker, Julie has always treated the world with love and kindness. Inspired by the transformative practices of Kung-Fu, Kriya Yoga, and meditation, she completed the 200 hour Yoga training at Ishta in New York City. Julie incorporates five important principles to her philosophy toward the teaching of Yoga: discipline, self study, universal awareness, the simplicity of generosity and kindness; and the power of the divine in all of us. “Shine Your Light” hopes to offer you a guidance to all aspects of the yoga tree from daily living, asana, pranayama and meditation.
